My work has never fit inside of a single title. I have spent my career helping people read closely, write clearly, question assumptions, and encounter ideas capable of changing how they understand themselves and the world. I have taught traditional college students, adult learners, dual-enrollment students, and service members stationed around the world. Through my writing and the Intellectual Freedom Podcast, I carry those conversations beyond the classroom and into the larger questions of judgment, responsibility, meaning, and what it takes to live well.

That same commitment to human potential shapes my work in child welfare and artificial intelligence. I have worked directly with children and young people in foster care, including those who have endured physical and sexual abuse, exploitation, human trafficking, and profound trauma. I have supported them as they worked to rebuild safety, trust, stability, and a sense of possibility. Today, I bring that firsthand experience into my work with organizations, using behavioral insight, data, and human-centered AI to help them better reach and serve children and families. Technology matters to me only when it strengthens—never replaces—the judgment, compassion, and human responsibility this work demands.
